Cynthia Keith
Grants Management Specialist
Cynthia Keith serves as a Grants Management Specialist for the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (RESTORE Council). Created by the RESTORE Act of 2012 and comprised of the Governors of the five Gulf Coast States and Cabinet-level officials from six federal agencies, the RESTORE Council is responsible for restoring and protecting the natural resources, ecosystems, fisheries, marine and wildlife habitats, beaches, coastal wetlands, and economy of the Gulf Coast.
Cynthia came to the RESTORE Council staff from Veterans Management Services, Inc., where she served as a Program Support Specialist for the Council. She worked as the primary contact for Council staff and recipients at the help desk.
Cynthia began her federal career with the Department of Defense – U.S. Air Force in 2018 where she served as a Commander’s secretary and as a part of the Commander's Support Staff for the comptroller squadron in Ramstein, Germany.
In 2022 she transferred to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Mobile, Alabama where she served as the Administrator for the Programs and Project Management for Civil Works.
Prior to her federal career, Cynthia worked for a private engineering and technical services as a Writer/Editor for aircraft maintenance manuals for Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ), Aerion AS2, Embraer KC-390, Fairchild/Dornier 328, McDonnell Douglas MD-369 Helicopter, and General Dynamics NGJ projects and Contract/Proposal specialist for supporting contracts.
Cynthia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Science in Strategic Communications from the University of Maryland, Global Campus.
